I ran into a stranger as he passed by. "Oh, excuse me, please" was my reply . He said: "Please ,excuse me too; I wasn't even watching for you."
We were very polite , this stranger and I. We went on our way and we said goodbye. But at home a different story is told.-how we treat our loved ones, young and old.
Later that day, when I was cooking the evening meal, my daughter stood beside me very
When I turned , I nearly knocked her down. "Move out of the way," I said with a frown. She walked away, her little heart broken. I didn't realize how cruelly I'd spoken.
While I lay awake in bed that evening, my husband said to me, "While dealing with a
stranger, common courtesy you use, but the children you love, you seem to abuse . Look on the kitchen floor and you'll find some flowers there by the door. Those are the flowers she brought for you . She picked them herself: pink, yellow and blue. She stood quietly not to spoil the surprise, and you never saw the tears in her eyes."By this time, I felt vert small, and my tears began to fall.
I quietly went and knelt down by her bed. "Wake up, little girl," I said. "Are these
flowers you picked for me?" She smiled: "I found them ,out by the tree. I picked them because they're pretty like you. I knew you'd like them, especially the blue."
I said: "Daughter, I'm sorry for the way I actedtoday. I shout not have yelled at you that way."
She said: "Oh Mom, that's okay. I love you anyway."
I said: "Daughter, I love you too. And I do like the flowers, especially the blue."
Are you aware that：If you die tomorrow, the company that you are working for could easily
replace you in a matter of days．But the family you leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives．And come to think of it，we pour ourselves more into our work than into our families--an unwise investment indeed．

So, many people go to school for an education. They learn languages, history, geography, physics, chemistry and mathematics. Others go to school to learn a skill so that they can make a living.
School education is very important and useful, yet no one can learn everything from school.
A teacher, no matter how much he knows, can’t teach his students everything that they want to know. His job is showing his students how to learn. He teaches them how to read and how to think. Much more is to be learned outside the school by the students themselves.
Great scientists such as Newton, Galileo and Einstein didn’t get everything from school, but they were all successful. They invented many things. The reason for their success is that they knew how to study. In other words, they knew how to use their brains. They read books that were not taught at school and they worked hard all their lives.
