So?that 和so that 的辨析

1. so?that意为“如此??以至于”,引导结果状语从句。句中的so是副词,常常用来修饰形容词或副词。 例如:

My legs were so tired that I wanted to stop.

我的双腿太累了以至于我都想停下来。

2. so that引导目的状语从句,意为“以便,为了”。 例如:

He gets up early every morning so that he can catch up the early bus.

3.词义辨析:

voice ,sound 与noise

voice 一般指人的声音,说话,唱歌的声音。除了有时可能指鸟的声音外,很少表示动物的声音。

sound泛指自然界的各种声音。

noise 意为“噪音,喧闹声”,常指不悦耳,不和谐的声音。

4.词义辨析:

be made of与 be made from

be made of 由??制成,指从制成品上能够看出原材料,或制作过程中发生的是物理变化。 The table is made of wood.
