Unit11 How was your school trip? 第一课时:

Teaching goals:

Ss master the words about farming.

Ss can have a biref understandig of the past tense.

Ss can talk about the things they did on their school trip. Teaching Important Points:

Teaching Procedures:

Step1: Lead-in.

Two questions: Do you have any school trip? What did you do on your school trip? How did you feel about it?

Let ss become interested in the farming work. Step2: Learn new words.

Step1: role-play the conversation.

1. Listen to the tape and repeat.

2. circle the past tense of the verbs and write its simple tense. 3. group work

make a survey. Ask your parnters what did they do last

In my group, Carol……..Pter……Sam……. Ask three groups to present their results.

Step2: Grammar Focus

1. find the past tense of these verbs. At the same time, find out

three different rules to form the past tense. (group discussion)

2. remember the conclusion 动词一般过去时,表示过去发生事;

be用was或用were, have, has变had; 谓语动词过去式,过去时间坐标志; 一般动词加-ed,若是特殊得硬记。 否定句很简单,主语之后didn’t添; 疑问句也不难,did放在主语前;

3a: Complete Jim’s letter on the left and Bill’s reply on the right. SS do it by themselves,

then check the answer together.by PPT

在讲完conversation之后,直接讲grammar focus, 感觉好像知识脱节了。如果把处理对话中的第二步和第三步换个顺序,这样就会有一个联系与铺垫。先进行口语上的输出,完成调查的内容,再把对话中的动词的过去式找出来,写出意思,并写出其现在式,从中补充进一些本单元的重点单词,再让学生分组来讨论动词现在时变过去时的规律,从而让学生能够有深刻的印象。

在完成听力1c的任务时,学生做起来有些困难,应该提前让学生做一个理解,比如: 读这五个短语并且翻译出其汉语意思,让学生小组内再互读,然后再通过听力完成训练的任务,这样学生就更容易接受了。

Step2: Skimming

Read Helen’s and Jim’s diary entries and answer the questions.

Give ss five minutes and ask a few ss to answer it.

Step3: Scanning

1. read again, and complete the chart.

2. read again, and master the language points.

3. Read and circle the important phrases.(group work)

4. find out the past tense of these verbs.,and write its

Simple tense.

Step4: After-reading

1. Retell the passage based on the important phrases.

2. Finish 3a and 3b according to these pictures.


1. 在细读的过程中,可以加入一个衔接词的训练的环节,可以把这

些词都划掉,再让学生自己去尝试读一下文章,从而让学生能够明白衔接词的重要性,同时为之后的写作奠定良好的基础。 2. 在读后环节中,有一个环节是根据三张图片来完成3a 和3b的练习,其实应该让学生提前看清图片,把每一个图片的意思表达出来,再根据学习的短语来完成句子的内容与理解,从而把握这整小篇文章。
