Step 1 Revision

1. Review the sentences (was /were + doing) that we have studied in Unit 1& 2.

2. Show some pictures to talk about the pictures.

In the past, not many people could read or write, so most stories were told. Some

stories were s o popular that they were told many times and changed often. They were passed from generation to generation. Finally, they were written down.

For example, in China old stories like The Monkey King are still loved today.

Some people say that new stories written in books today are not as entertaining as the old ones. Do you agree?.
