Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show导学案

教学目标:

1. Master the new words, phrases and language points in Section A.

2. Learn about how to express one’s preference.

3. Be able to express one’s own opinion and ask other’s opinion on TV shows. 教学重点:

1. 掌握Section A部分的新单词。

2. 掌握表达喜爱和偏好的动词或词组。

3. 掌握如何表达自己和询问他人观点的句型。

教学难点:

1. Master the new words about TV shows.

2. Be able to express one’s own opinion and ask other’s opinion on TV shows. 教具:

blackboard;

tape recorder;

PPT 教学过程:

Step I: Lead-in Present some pictures of several kinds of TV shows in China.

Match the TV shows with the pictures.

Give the Chinese meaning of each TV show in a table Step II: Listening

Listen the tape recorder, and fill in the blanks below.

P33-1b

Step III: Practice the conversation. And make conversations.

List the words of likes and dislikes and feelings in between by showing the cartoon faces on the screen.

Learn from the conversation:

A: What do you want to watch?

B: What do you think of talk shows?

A: They’re OK. I don’t mind them. B: Then let’s watch a talk show.

Pay attention to the sentence patter:

What do you think of??

认为?怎么样?

回答:I like?, I don’t like ?, I love?,

I don’t mind?, I can’t stand?

Step IV Listen and complete 2a-2b.

Pay more attention to the types of TV shows:

sitcom 情景喜剧 news 新闻

game show 益智类节目

talk show 访谈节目

soap opera 连续剧

Step V Ask and answer questions about the TV shows in 2a.

A: Do you plan to watch _______ tonight?

B: Yes. I like watching _____. I watch it every night.

A: Why?

B: Because I hope to _______________.

Step VI Role-play the conversation

Grace: What did you do in class today, Sarah?

Sarah: We had a discussion about TV shows. My classmates like game shows and sports shows.

Grace: oh, I can’t stand them. I love soap operas. I like to follow the story and see what happens next.

Sarah: Well, I don’t mind soap operas. But my favorite TV shows are the news and talk shows.

Grace: They’re boring!

Sarah : Well, they may not be very exciting, but you can expect to learn a lot from them. I hope to be a TV reporter one day.

2. Presentation(呈现新知识)

New Words: 展示电视节目图片并搭配描绘此节目的单词,完成形容词的导入。 展示电影的图片导入电影类型对应的英文表达。

3. Work on 1a

What do you think of these TV shows and movies? Choose words from the box and write them under the pictures. 采取问答的形式巩固新单词的学习并培养学生口语表达能力。

4. Work on 1b

Listen and circle the description words you hear in the box in 1a.

播放录音三次,第一次正常速度播放,第二次截取播放最后一次正常播放,提高学生听力水平。

5. Work on 1c

Listen again. Write down the words John and Mary use to describe the TV shows or movies.

分三次播放录音,采取小组合作的形式填表,培养学生合作学习的能力。

6. Work on 1d

两人以访谈的形式完成1d对话。

7. Homework

1.背诵Section B 中出现的新单词。
