1、Prefer 动词,意为“更喜欢,宁愿”,本身就含有比较意义,相当于like ---better. 其过去时、过去分词和现在分词分别为: eg:I prefer light music. =I like light music better.

常见用法有:

1) “比起---更喜欢(前者)” I prefer to She prefer to 2) prefer to do sth. “宁愿/更喜欢做某事” He prefer to stay at home.

3) prefer to do sth. rather than do sth. “更喜欢做某事而不愿做某事”.
