There are a lot of salt wells(井) in Sichuan . A salt well is much like a water well . People bring the well water up to the ground and then dry it in big jars(坛子) over fire . In this way they get salt . We can also get salt from salt mines(矿) . A salt mine may be found under the ground . Some years ago, people in Jiangxi found a big salt mine and soon opened it . People here need salt from other places no more .

When Wilma Rudolph was 4 years old, she could not walk. But by age 20, she was the fastest woman runner in the world, and she was named Female Athlete of the Year by the Associated Press.
Wilma was born in 1940 into a family of 19 children. She was only four and a half pounds at birth. Growing up, she got sick many times . In 1944 she became so ill that she could not move one leg. I wish to be an exchange student in Australia this summer vacation. My name is Sara. I’m a 15-year-old Chinese girl from No.1 Middle School and I’m in Junior 3. My favorite subjects are English and music because they are interesting. But I find science is very difficult for me. In fact I’m outgoing and friendly, and I have a lot of friends in Beijing. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music and collecting stamps. I have hundreds of stamps from many countries. If I could join the project, I would learn more English and make more friends.
