【教学目标】

1. 了解外国城市著名的旅游胜地和受欢迎的景点。

2. 熟悉人们在不同景点从事的各种活动。

【教学内容】

1. 四会内容 词汇:symbol n.

词组:bring sth. with sb., take photos,a symbol of, see the beautiful

view, go skiing

句型:1. It must be fun.

2. It’s Mount Fuji in Japan – a symbol of Japan.

3. I have been there many times.

【课前预习】

1. Look at the comic strip on page 24 and answer the questions:(回答问题)

1) Where is Eddie going?____________________________________________________.

2) Does Eddie think the holiday will be pleasant?_________________________________.

2. Look at the pictures on Page 25 and write down the correct names under the pictures.

【学习指导】

1. must 一定,肯定

must用于表示肯定推测时,意为“一定,肯定”。如:

He isn’t in the classroom. He must be in the playground. 他不在教室里,一定是在操场上。

表示否定推测要用can’t,意为“不可能”。如:

2.join指加入某党派、某组织或某社会团体,以及参军等,还可表示参与某种活动。例句:

①I will never forget the day when I joined the Party.我永远也忘不了入党的那一天。

②Will you join us for dinner?请你和我们一起吃饭好吗?

take part in指参加群众性活动、会议、劳动、游行等,往往指参加者持有积极的态度,起一份作用,有时与join in可互换。例句:

①Will you take part in the English evening?同我们一起参加英语晚会好吗?

③We should take an active part in school activities.我们应该积极参加学校的活动。

join in通常指参加某种活动,尤其指和其他人一起参加某项活动。例句:

①May I join in the game?我可以参加这个比赛吗?

②I hope you”ll all join in the discussion.我希望你们大家都参加讨论。

如果说"与某人一起做某事"、"和??在一起"则用join sb. in sth./doing sth.。例句: ①Would you join me in a walk?和我一起去散步好吗?

②Will you join us in a game of cards?你愿意和我们一起玩牌吗?

3.关于bring与take的区别.

bring带来,带到自己的方向来

bring sb sth = bring sth to sb 把某物带给某人

take拿走,远离自己的方向

take it away 把它拿走

1. Before-class work checking.

2.Listen and read the comic strip and answer some questions.(漫画)

—Is Eddie happy in the first picture? Why? ____________________________________

—What does Hobo think of the trip? _____________________________________ ---Does Hobo want to go, too? ______________________________________ —How does Hobo feel about the trip? ______________________________________ --- Why is Eddie unhappy in the last picture? ____________________________________

3. Read with partner and try to perform Hobo and Eddie. Then perform this conversation

before the class.

4. Pay attention to some useful expressions:

① join sb.=go? with sb.

② Let sb do sth: Let me have a look.

③ ‘take’ and ‘bring’

5.Check the before-class work 2&3. 6. Listen to your teacher and talk about the photos in Part A, speak out the names.
