The text book, some pictures, handouts.

Teaching steps:

Step 1. Warming-up:

1. Greetings:

T: Good morning, class.

Ss: Good morning, teacher.

T: Nice to meet you, again.

Ss: Nice to meet you, too.

2. Revision:

Check them to role-play the conversations in the last period.

Step 2. Presentation: (work on Grammar Focus)

Ask students to open their books and turn to page 3. Read through the sentences in the Grammar box.

Then the teacher reads them, has students repeat sentence by sentence, explains the meanings at the same time.

Put students into pairs to make free talk using the target language in the box. Step 3. Practice: (Work on 3a——3b)

1. Activity 3a.

First, ask students to read the instruction of 3a so that they can know how to do this activity.

Then ask students to put the words in order to make complete sentences. Then make conversations.

Let them do it individually. Later, ask students to practice these conversations in pairs. Finally, invite some pairs to role-play the conversations.

2. Activity 2b.

T: The following is a conversation. Please have a quick look so that you can know how to do it.

Then complete the conversation individually. And later I’ll check your answers.

Answers: what’s, name’s, Are, No I’m, Bob Nice, meet.

Put students into pairs. One is A, the other in B. Have them role-play the conversation. Step 4. Consolidation: (work in 3c)

T: Now we’ll play a game. Please read through the instruction and the conversation in 3c so that you can know how to do this activity.

Put students into two groups. Ask students to practicing introduce themselves and others in a group. Every student should introduce himself or herself, at the same time he/ she should repeat all the classmates’ names mentioned above. The one ho remembers the most names wins the game.
