My hobby is reading books. When I was seven years old, I became interested
in reading books. I like reading books because there are a lot of useful things in
books. I can learn a lot of knowledge from books. Books can also teach me how
to be a good person. Books even can solve many problems for me.I will read more
good books to improve myself.
Different people, different hobbies. What hobbies do you have?
My hobby is singing. It’s a great hobby! It’s fun and it makes me feel proud.
Singing can be used to relieve (解除) my fatigues (疲劳), and can help me
improve my accent(腔调). Singing makes me happy when I"m sad. Singing songs can
make you clever. I am always singing at home to share each other’s joys and
sorrow (悲痛) in our life and to learn many songs. I really enjoy singing.
It goes without saying that(毫无疑问) there are many different kinds of hobbies
and they can not only (不仅) broaden (拓宽) our minds (智力) but also (而且)
add more fun to our life.
One of my classmate Lily ,she is a 15-year-old student in junior Grade 3. ， she would like to spend time on her hobbies， such as playing
the piano， surfing the Internet.
One of her favourite hobby is reading. Reading has been in her life for many years,
since she began to learn characters. It can not only kill the time, but also, more important, help improve her comprehension ability. When reading, she can learn a lot. Reading
Shakespears works, she know how Hamlet looks like. Reading Socrates, she can see how great ancient Greek philosophers are. Reading Lu Xu, she come back to the old time of China.
One possible version:
As is apparently shown in the chart above, many middle school students have problems both physically and mentally, with 70% of the students having learning anxiety as well as poor eyesight, and a larger percentage lacking sleep. Coming next is the lack of physical exercise. 40% of the students surveyed won’t obey their parents or teachers. In addition, Still fewer claim not to have enough communication with others.
As far as I am concerned, we students should balance our physical exercise and studies. Just as a saying goes: “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy,” without a sound body, one cannot achieve anything. However, too much attention has been paid only to studies. Therefore, I suggest we be given less homework and more time for out-of-classroom activities to solve all the problems. Only in this way can we lead a happy and healthy life.
