【学习目标】1.Key Vocabulary invent, calculator, be used for, adjustable, heel,

battery, operate, slipper, scoop, electric

2.Target Language When was the telephone invented? I think it was invented in 1876. Who were they invented by? They were invented by Julie Thompson.

What are they used for? They are used for seeing in the dark.

3.了解并掌握一般过去时被动语态的结构及应用。

构成;s +was / were + p.p

1.听力活动:a.Look at the picture and remember the words.

b.Listen to a conversation between a girl and a woman, then match the inventions and the dates.

c.Work in pairs. Then make similar dialogues using the things around them. 听力练习,提高学生口语能力。练习口语的同时,熟悉不同物品的发明年代。

1]invent v发明—inventor n发明家—invention n发明

2),operate v操作,作业 —operation n操作,作业

operate …on …“给…做手术” The doctor is operating on his leg.

3),be used for sth / doing sth“被用来做……”

Wood can be used for making paper . Can knives be used for cutting things ?

4)一般过去时被动语态的构成:主+was /were +v 过去分词+……

陈述句;A new computer was bought by my father yesterday.

否定句;A new computer wasn’t bought by my father yesterday.

一般疑问句;Was a new computer bought by my father yesterday?Yes, it was. / No, it

wasn’t.
