Review the words learnt in Grade 1 with the pictures. 三、Presentation and practice. Step 1 Give and use English name.

1. Give each child an English name tag to pin on. As each name tag is assigned, say the name and have the class repeat it after teacher.

2. Hold up the card, ask Ss to stand up when they see the card that matches their name tag. 3. Choose one student. Ask,“What’s your English name?”The student replies using the name on his or her card.

Step 2 Introduce the characters.

T: We are going to read some stories about these characters.

1. Hold up the mask for Ann. Say,“Who’s this ?”Elicit the answer,“Ann”.

2. Repeat this for Ken, Mocky, and Uncle Booky.

T: We are going to meet some new friends. Hold up the mask for Peter and WangLing. Step 3 Model the dialog.

1.Use WangLing’s mask and say ,“Hello, what’s your name?” Then use Mocky’s mask and say.“My name’s Mocky.” 3. Use any two of the masks to practice. Step 4 Talk about the story. 1.Have Ss open the books. Ask: Picture1:“ Where are the children?” Picture2:“Who sees them?”

Picture3\4\5:“What is the monkey doing?”

Picture6:“ How are they getting across the river?” Picture7\8:“Where are they all going?”

2.Have the class look at the pictures in the books as play the tape. Encourage the children to say the words. 3.Choose some Ss to act it out. 四、Homework

Encourage the Ss to practice greeting their family and friends in English. 教学后记:

通过系统的复习,学生能较好的掌握遗忘率较高的旧知识。但个别插班生还不能大胆开口读英语,讲英语,还须多加鼓励。对is的缩写读法还有待加强。

Period 2

一、Greetings: 二、Revision:

Review the Ss’ English names. 三、Presentation and practice. Step 1 Learn to say.

1.Have the class look at the picture at the top of the page and point to the character.

As the tape is played, point to the words one at a time. 2.Without the tape ,read the words together. Have the Ss touch each word as they say it. Step 2 Listen to this.

1.T: Look at the first picture, who is talking? The Ss should answer,“Mockey” 2.Repeat for the other five pictures.

3.Play the tape. Have the Ss number each picture. 4. Then check the answer. Step 3 Sing a song.

1. Have the Ss open the books.

T: We are going to learn a song about our new friend. Read the words to the Ss ,point to each words.

2. Play the first six lines of the song several times, and encourage the Ss to join in by singing. Then ask the Ss touch the words as their sing along. 3. Play the last two lines of the song. Ask the Ss to sing these lines using their own English names. 4. Play the tape from the beginning. The Ss sing the first six lines together. For the last two lines, the Ss

sing their English names.

5. Continue until all the Ss have sung their English names. 四、Homework:Sing the song and encourage the Ss to practice greeting their family and friends in English. 教学后记:对歌曲的掌握学生都能主动开口,坚持对学生口语的训练,分角色来表演能调动学生的积极性。

Period 3

一、Greetings: Good morning. How are you? What’s

Period 4

一、Greetings: Hello. How are you? Nice to meet you. Warm up: sing the song. 二、Presentation:

1、Hold up picture cards for “Cat and dog”, “Ball and apple”.

T: Say “Hello” to them. Hello, cat. Hello, dog.

Make sure Ss can say these things when given a picture.

Read the rhyme to Ss, pointing to each word.

Warm up: Using the masks, review the structures in a speech chain. “Hello, what’s your name?” “My name’s …. …’s my name.” Sing the song together. 二、Presentation:

1、Have Ss turn to the top of page 6.

Display the page and model the dialog, pointing to the matching character as you speak.

Have the girls say the words spoken by Cathy and Wang Ling, and the boys say Tommy’s words.

Organize a speech chain, where Ss substitute their names for those that are underlined. 2、T: OK, let’s move to the next part.

Tell Ss that you are going to play a tape. Explain that you want them to listen to the tape and touch the correct characters when they hear them say, “Hello”. Play the tape and have Ss touch the correct pictures. 3、Take out some cards for the letters “A、B 、C、D.”

T: Do you know Ann? (hold up Ann’s mask) look at the first letter. This letter is called Letter A. then prompt the picture of the thing beginning with A(apple).

Play the tape, point to the matching picture of the word. At last, play the tape again and have Ss say the words aloud.

Repeat the procedure for letters BCD.

4、Give some time to remember the words.

5、Have Ss turn to the black and white copy of Uncle Booky’s ABC. They can trace over the letters ABCD and color the picture.

6、Homework: finish coloring part on page 7.

教学后记:对于字母学生都能较好地掌握,但个别较难发音的单词carrot,学生掌握的不够,教者应多示范其读音,多采用小组比赛的方式来巩固单词。 Play the tape for the rhyme and have Ss listen and point to the words on the page. 2、Put pictures of dog, cat, ball and apple on the board. Ask Ss to point to these pictures when listening to the tape again. Let them add actions and act the rhyme out.

3、Hold up the “what’s your name?”drillcard and read it to the Ss, pointing to the words as you read them.

Have Ss repeat the question after you. In the same way, review “My name’s…” and “My name is…”

Say the words of the question and answer as you point to each one. Divide the class into two groups. Have one group repeat the questions, and the other group repeat the answers.

4、Draw Ss’s attention to the bottom part of page 9. explain that when you point to a character you will ask a student to tell the class what that character would say.

Give them some time to practice in groups. 5、Use “ABCD” to review the words on page 8. Pay more attention to the word “carrot”. 6、Homework: Color page 10.

教学后记:学生对于打招呼的问答都能识记,对前2句可以巩固,但对于play and eat的发音不是很到位,教者应多注意chant的节奏与个别单词的发音。单词替换可采用游戏,奖励的形式来进行。

Period 5 一、Greetings:

Warm up: chant together. 二、 Presentation:

1、This is a vocabulary drill in the form of a game. (Game)

Photocopy a Bingo Game board 1 on the screen.

The teacher calls out the different character words and Ss find the correct picture in the gameboard. Ss circle

the word or letter when they hear T calls it out. Ss call out “Bingo” each time they have circled a full column down the Bingo boards. (This part to review Ss’ words.) 2、Review: Good morning. Hello, what’s your name? My name’s?

3、T: We are going to listen to a story.

Play the tape, ask Ss to listen to the story with their books closed.

Have Ss open their books, and look at the pictures. Ask them to look for familiar words in the story. 1.Sing and chant.

2. Obeying classroom commands and stating someone’s name. 四、Teaching tools:

Show the pictures to review the words. Encourage Ss to try to guess the meaning of words from the pictures.

6、Review the words again. Let Ss say out the words one by one from the picture.

Do the exercise on your workbooks on page 5,7. 7、Check.

教学后记:通过各种形式的操练,大部分学生对于新句型和对话掌握较好,成绩好的学生掌握较好,但是由于本课对话较多,而且发音比较难,所以也有个别学生掌握不好。学生对故事的理解都能发挥自己的想象能力来阅读,分角色的竞赛朗读学生较有兴趣。

一、 Hard and key points: 三、Presentation and practice. Step 1 Introduce new characters.

1.Hold up the mask for Lulu. Say, “This is Lulu.” Have the children say Lulu. Repeat this for Danny. 2.Repeat several times, and have the Ss say the names. Step 2 Model the dialog.

Hold up my mask for Mocky and say, “This is Mocky.” Have the Ss repeat the sentences me. Then, repeat te procedure for all the other masks.

2.Hold up each of the mask in turn , and say, “This is (Lulu)”.Hold up the Mocky mask. Say, “This isn’t Ken. This is Mocky.” Say the sentences again, and have the Ss repeat them.

3.Repeat the same procedure, using the other mask. Then hold up a mask hut say nothing. Have the Ss make a sentence of their own. Step 3 Introduce commands. 1.T: Stand up.(Do the action.)

Have the Ss stand up.(Repeat it for sit down.)

2.Repeat it for Open your book. ,and Show me your book.

3.Play a game. Simo say.....

Step 4 Talk about the story. 1.T:Open your books. Show them what to do.

Repeat the command and have the Ss open their books at page 14 and 15.Ask this questions about the pictures :

Picture 1: Who can you see in the picture?

Picture 3: What are Ann, Ken, and Mocky doing ? Picture 4/5: Who do they meet? Picture 6/7: Do they like him? Picture 8: What does Mocky see? Picture 9 : How does Mocky feel?

Picture 10: Has Mocky made a mistake ? Picture 11: What is happening to Mocky ?

2.T:Now we are going to hear what the characters said.

Play the tape. Have the Ss look at the pictures as the tape is play.

3.Explain that people often say “Oh , no!’’ when they are surprised or worried. Come on !means that you want someone to come with you . Super means you feel wonderful.

1. Have the Ss roleplay the dialog using the masks.

四、Homework.

Tell your family about the new characters.

教学后记:以游戏,活动形式复习,能激发学生兴趣,学生在活动过程中复习、巩固旧知识,效果好。通过练习使学生对故事部分的内容掌握较好,基本都能互相开展对话询问,并能做出相应的回答。但学生对于重点句型不太熟练,有待加强练习。 Period 2

Display the copy of the page. Point to the picture of Danny Deer.

T: This is Danny Deer.

Have the Ss repeat the words as they point to the picture in the books.

2.Repeat the procedure for the other pictures. 3.Listen to the tape,

T: Touch the picture as you hear the words.

4.Play the tape again , write the number of the sentences in the box beside each picture as they listen to the tape.

Step 2 Introduce the letter Ee.

1. Ask the Ss recall the letters they have learnt. 2. T: Look at Uncle Book’s ABC and find the letters you know. Now look, this is letter E. 3. Write it on the Bb.

T: This is the letter E. C an you find the word that begins with E in Uncle Book’s ABC? Check that the Ss have find it. 4.T :Eggs.

Have the Ss repeat it.

Point to the word, encourage the Ss to say the word aloud as they touch it in their books.

5.Play the tape, point to the matching picture of the word.

6. Replay the tape and have the Ss say the word aloud. Step 3 Introduce the letters Ff , Gg , Hh, and Ii.

Repeat the procedure that was used to introduce the letter Ee and the word egg. 四、Homework.

1.Review Ee ,Ff,Gg ,Hh,Ii.

2. Color the letters in different colors.

教学后记:字母部分的单词个别学生掌握不理想,有待加强。在教学过程中,如果先把发音先归类,学生会易于掌握一系列有联系的单词发音。重难点都能得到较好的解决,达到了教学目的。 Period 3

一、Organization: 1 Sing a song. 2 Greetings. 二、Revision:

Ask and answer the English name. 三、Presentation and practice. Step 1

1.Hold up the mask, say “This is Lulu.” Have the Ss repeat

Repeat the activity using all the character masks.

2.Touch a book in the classroom. Make sure that all the Ss can see it Say , This is a book. Repeat it for a pen.

1. Play the tape the Ss touch the matching picture. 2. Hold up one of the cards and say:“ What’s this ?”Have the Ss read after me.“This is a book.”

3. Have a student touch or hold up a book or a pen ,etc. And say , What is this ?Have another student give the answer. Do it several times. Step 2 Play a game. 1.T: Open the book.

Point to each of the objects in turn, naming them in English as I do so

2.Have the Ss work in pairs to check their answers. 3.Ask each pair in turn to give the English word for a missing object.

Step 3 Talk together. T: Open your book.

Draw the Ss’ attention to the top of the page.

Read the words slowly, pointing to each word as I say it . Substitute two of the Ss’ English names for underlined names in the text Step 4 Listen and number.

1.Have the Ss open the book. Point to the picture, have the Ss repeat the words as they point to the picture in their books.

.2.Play the tape. Touch the correct picture as they hear the pictures.

Step 4 Let ’ s chant

1. Use pictures to review the words:

Elephant, egg, flower, fire

2. Read the rhyme to the Ss, point to each word. Tell the Ss that they are going to learn a rhyme word.

2.Play the tape, as the Ss hear each word they should point to its beginning letter.

3.Without the tape , have the Ss point to each picture in turn and say the beginning sound.

4.Have the Ss trace the letters beside the pictures. Step 3 Uncle Book’s Bb.

1.Hold up the“ This is ”card and read it to the Ss, point to the words as you read them. 2.Repeat the procedure with the Danny.

3.Read the sentences aloud, touching the words as I about a naughty elephant.

3. Play the tape for the whole rhyme and have Ss listen and point to the words and the matching pictures on the page.

4. Play the tape again and have the Ss join in .

5. T :Point to the pictures as you listen to the tape.

They can add some actions and act it out in group. 四、Homework. Review part A b C.

教学后记:学生学习积极性较高,大部分学生都能积极参与课堂,课堂气氛活跃,。通过设计各种类型的练习活动巩固旧知识,效果较好。但中下生还需加强辅导。 Period 4

一、Organization: 1 Sing a song. 2 Greetings. 二、Revision:

Review Ee ,Ff,Gg ,Hh,Ii.

三、Presentation and practice.

Step 1 Write the letters Ee , Ff, Gg, Hh and Ii 1.T :Watch me write the letter E.

Stand with my back to the class. Write capital letter E in the air , using large arm movements. Ask the Ss write it with me. 2.Repeat for the small letter e.

3.Have the Ss open the books at page 20.Draw their attention to the Trace and copy activity.

4. Have the Ss trace over half of the capital Es.On the next line, they should write some capital Es by themselves.

5. Follow the same procedure for Ee, Ff, Gg,and Ii.

Step 2 Listen E, F, G, H, I.

1.Point to each picture in turn and say the matching say them.

4.Repeat the procedure using others cards. Step 4 Touch and say.

1.Have the Ss practice saying the sentences from the previous activity.

2.Give the command,“Open your books.”

3.Display my copy of page, and model the first statement. Then let the Ss use different names for the second part of each statement. 四、Homework

Tracing and writing the letters. 教学后记:让学生通过动作教学来学习,效果较好,学习兴趣也较大,能积极主动参与课堂活动。在字母的练习中,部分学生容易与拼音混淆。 Period 5

一、Organization: 1 Sing a song. 2 Greetings. 二、Revision: Chant it together.

三、Presentation and practice Step 1

1.Tell the Ss that they going to listen to a story. 2.Play the tape , ask the Ss to listen to the story .

3.Have the Ss open the books , and look at the pictures, ask them to look for the familiar words in the book. 4.Have the Ss read the story silently, encourage them to try to guess the meaning of unfamiliar words. Step 2 Play Bingo game.

1.Call out the different words and the Ss find the correct picture .

2.The Ss circle the word when they hear the teacher call it out .Then call out “Bingo’’ each time they have circled a full column down their Bingo boards. 3.At the end of the game, review all the words. Step 3

Play a game.

4.Put the Ss in pairs. Have each pair mix cards together and then spread them face down on the table. 2. The first child who call out “snap”, and the correct word or letter, keeps the two matching cards. The Ss continue playing until there are no cards left on the table. The winner is the child with the most cards at the end of the game.

3. If the child calls “Snap” by mistake ,other player takes the pair of cards. Step 4 Self-assessment

1.Have the Ss do this part in pairs or in groups by of the room.Encourage the children to ask,"Who's that?" and reply, "That's (Tommy.)" Repeat for the other mask.

Have the children ask and answer the question the question in pairs.

5. Talk about the story

Say to the class ,"Open your books."Have the children find pages 26and 27. Ask these puestions about the pictures:

How many children are in the playground ? What are they doing ? themselves.

Ss should assess themselves according to their own situation.

This activity reviews the structures This is (Ken) and This isn't (Mocky). Use the masks. 2.Practise greetings

Gather the six character masks of Ken, Ann, Mocky, Uncle Booky. Lulu, and Danny . Say, "Here are your friends again.Let's greet them." Say, 'Hello, Ken." Hold up the Ken mask. 3.Model the dialog

Put the character masks along the blackboard ledge. Stand at the side of the room. Choose one child to be your helper. The helper points to each mask in trun . For each mask you ask ,"Who's that ?"Model the answer,That's (Ken).

Repeat for the other five masks. 4.Introduce new characters

Display the Cathy and Tommy masks on the other side Where is Mocky?" What happens next?

What do our two new friends look like?Where are they from?

What is Mocky doing ? What happened to Mocky? Was he hurt?

What is happening now? 6.Set homework

Tell the class that you want them to:

tell their families about Cathy and Tommy

practise greeting their family and friends in English , saying "Hi,________!"

the second period 一、 教学目标:会运用句型This is?.来介绍别人,并能准确用She’s\He’s from?.句型来描述别人是来自何方。 二、 教学重难点:句型 She’s\He’s from?. 三、 教学方法:句型操练法和表演法 四、 教具准备:录音机、教学图片 五、 教学过程: 1. Review

This activity reviews the difference between this and that .

2. Learn to say

Give the command ,"Open your books." Draw the children's attention to the picture at the top of the page.

Have the children look at the national flags on the characters'T-shirts .Ask them if they can tell where they are from.

Explain to the children that you want them to touch the character whose name they hear when you play the tape.

Play the tape, pausing after each character's name.

Check the children are touching the correct pictures before moving on.

Choose four helpers to stand in front of the class. Add the Wang Ling's mask to the collection and give each helper a mask. Ask the class to name each character. Replay the tape. Pause after the first name on the tape and point to the helper who holds the Wang Ling's mask.

Say, "This is Wang. She's from China." Have Children repeat after you.

Continue with the remaining names. 3. Listen to this

Have the children open their books at page28. Draw their attention the "Listen to this"pictures.

Display your copy of the page and point to Tommy in the first pictures Ask, "Who's this?" The children should answer "Tommy."pictures Ask ,"Who's this?"The children should answer"Tommy. Repeat this for the rest pictures.

Explain to the class that you will play the tape and that you want them to write the numger of the sentence pairs in the box beside each picture as they listen to the tape.

Play the tape, pausing 2or 3 seconds after one pair of sentences at a time.

Tell the children that you will play the tape again, and that this time you want them to check their answers. The whole class check answers: the teacher says a number and the children say the name of the character.

the third period 一、 教学目标:能熟练运用句型This is ?. That’s?. He’s from?. She’s from?.认读字母Jj\Kk\Ll\Mm\Nn和认读单词jeep\kite\lemon\moon\noodles.

Ask the class to recall the letters they have learnt.If the children cannot name them,have them find the letters on Uncle Booky's ABC.Write Aa,Bb,Cc,Dd,Ee,Ff,Gg,Hh and Ii on one corner of the board.

Say,"look at Uncle Booky's ABC and find the letters you know.Now look at the next letter.This is the letter Jj."

Write the letter Jj on the board. Then repeat,"This is the letter E.Can you find the word that begins with J in Uncle Booky's ABC?"Check that the children have found it.

Say,"Listen:jeep.You say it."Have the children repeat the word.say,"look:jeep."and point to the written word.Encourage all the children to say the word aloud as they touch it in their books.

5.Words that begin with the letter Jj Student Book page 31

Draw the chirdren's attention to the row of pictures beginning with Jj(jeep).

Play the tape,pointing to the matching picture of each word.

Now replay the tape,and have the children point to the matching pictures in their books.

Replay the tape and have the children say the words aloud.

6.Introduce the letters Kk, Ll, Mm and Nn Student Book pages 31 and 79.

Repeat the procedure that was used to introduce the letter Jj and the woud jeep. 7.Set homework

Color each letter Jj in blue

Color the letters Kk,Ll,Mm and Nn in a different color.

Trace over the letters Jj,Kk, Ll, Mm and Nn of Uncle Booky's ABC and color the pictures. 教学反思:

好的方面:1、能结合游戏的方式教学字母的认读,使课堂的气氛比较活跃。2、教学单词时,能结合动作,使学生能在课堂上既动手又动口。

不足之处:对于句型的掌握,学生还不够熟练,对于四个国家的单词的读音,学生还不够正确,使学生进行对话表演时,遇到困难。

以后设想:要加强学生对单词的发音,要利用多种方法激发学生认读单词。

Have the children open their books at page 34. Read children trace over half of the capital ES. On the next line , they should write capital Es by themselves. Repeat for the small letter e.

Follow the same procedure for Ff.

Tell the children that they will finish tracing over the letters for homework.

2. Listen for J, K, L, M , N Student Book page 32.

Draw the children's attention to the picture in turn and say the matching word, for example, kangaroo, kangaroo, kangaroo.

Now play the tape. As the children listen to each word they should point to its beginning letter.

Without the tape, have the children point to each picture in turn and say the beginning sound .

Have the children trace the letters beside the pictures. 3.Uncle Booky's Blackboard Student Book page 33.

Hold up the Who's this ? drillcard and read it to the children, pointing to the words as you read them. Repeat the procedure with the Who is that ? drillcard. Point to the 's in Who's and remind the children that the apostrophe mark shows that a letter has been left out.

Have the children repeat the questions and answers after you in a class drill.

You will need most of these drillcards again in Unit 4, Lesson 4.

4.Touch and say. 5. Set homewouk

Remind the class to finish tracing and writing the letters Ee and Ff.

Use pictures or real objects to review the following words: girl, kite ,hand, jacket,lemon .Make sure the chilkren can say these things when given a picture or a real object.

Read the rhyme to the children , pointing to each word.

Play the tape for the whole rhyme. Have children listen and point to the words and the matching pictures on the page.
