Analysis of the lesson:

本节课是上海版牛津英语五年级第一学期第三模块第一单元中Look and read ,Ask and answer 中的内容.本课的内容贴近学生的生活,以跟学生朝夕相伴的学校为主题,使学生更易理解。全文主要以There be 句型进行描述,这个句型在四年级下册中已经渗透过,在此时是作为复习巩固来解决的。本课为阅读课,阅读课在五年级上册的教材中所占比例还并不是很高,尚处于一个从对话到语篇的过度阶段,因此,文中的生难单词很少,旨在通过各种阅读活动培养学生的阅读技巧,帮助他们形成有效的阅读策略。

Theory of the design:

本案例是Reading(精读课),按照英语新课程标准的要求,这堂课应当是“以任务贯穿读、听、说的活动,让学生通过‘感知-概括-应用’的思维来增长知识,发展能力”。基于此,其教学设计的落脚点有二:

1.学生通过阅读学习,有助于提高学生的阅读能力和自主学习能力。

2.通过阅读进行语音处理、单词处理和句子处理;通过阅读进行意义建构,在与文本相互作用的过程中,在理解、思辨的过程中培养学生的语言输出能力,即说话能力和写话能力。

针对五年级学生的年龄特点及本课书的教学内容,我将课堂教学模式确定为“任务型与活动型相结合”的整体教学模式,在活动设计时本着体验学习、合作学习、思维学习的教学理念,将语言学习和多种能力的培养渗透到课堂活动和教学任务中,努力为孩子们提供一个不断感知、不断探索、不断提高的成长1

空间。因此在教学过程中我努力做到在帮助学生巩固旧知识的同时,力求创设良好的英语环境,以灵活新颖的教学形式,调动学生的积极性,使学生主动参与英语知识的学习、操练与交际活动,注重培养学生语言交际能力和思维发展能力。所以我根据本节课的特点,制定了以下教学目标。

Teaching contents: Look and read

Teaching Aims:

1). Be able to listen, speak, and read words: floor, hundred,

chair, fan, cupboard.

2). Be able to ask ‘How many’ questions to find out the quantity

and answer it with ‘There is/are…’.

e.g. How many floors are there in your school?

There are ____. \There is one.

3).Be able to describe the location of an object.

4).Improve reading ability in comprehending the passage.

5).Increase self-confidence in learning with partners.

6).Be optimistic to enjoy the wonderful school life and love

our school by reading and describing our school.

Difficult and key points:

Teaching procedure:

Step I. Pre-reading preparation:

Warming-up:

1. Sing a song :‘This is the way’.

常会话的主体上。

2. Free-talk:

T: What time do you get up?

What time do you go to school?

How do you go to school?

Is your school big or small?

Do you like you school?

T: Ok, today we are going to learn Unit1 My school. Firstly, Let’s have a look at Wendy’s school.

4. Presentation:

1)Skimming:

T shows a picture of Wendy’s school

T: Wow. It’s a beautiful school. Right? Let’s see how many floors are there in the school?

T: Do you know what we call this floor? It’s the ground floor/ the first floor/ the second floor. And the next one? 3

T points to different floors and teach Ss how to say the three floors.)

T: Do you want to know what are on each floor? OK, let’s go into the buliding. Please read the passage and find out the difficult words.【设计意图】整体粗读,找出生难单词.通过整体感知课文内容能够帮助学生快速了解学习内容的大体意思,能够迅速找出课文中的关键信息即key words。 2) Scanning: Group work:

T: Now, you have known the new words. Please read the first paragraph. And answer questions:

Is Wendy’s school big? How many floors are there on the first floor?

What’s on the first floor?

T: Please read the second paragraph and answer:

How many classrooms are there on the second floor?

How many children are there on in the school?

T: Read the third paragraph and answer:

How many girls/boys are there in the school?

How many desks/chairs/fans/windows/cupboard are there in the school?

5 Practice: 1) Listen to the tape and read after it.

【设计意图】 让学生整体感受纯真的语音语调,训练其听的能力,在大量听的输入后,为其输出表达最好准备。将小组竞争机制纳入本环节,通过小组展示的方式让学生积极参与小组活动树立自信心。

2)Fill in the blanks

T: Can you fill in the blanks according to our passage. Please don’t look at your books.

【设计意图】通过填空,达到复述课文的目的。 Step III. Post-reading procedures 6.Consolidation:

T: Now let’s talk something about our school. Do you know : How many floors are there in your school?

7.Extension:

Write:

T: Now please use those sentences to write a passage about your own school.(T shows pictures of our school)

【设计意图】实现语言输出能力,实现从先说到后写从机械到意义训练的转变。在语言操练足够的条件下,让学生在更为开放的模式下操练、使用所学过的内容。在任务型教学思想的指导下,让学生在正式的情境中使用自己学到的知识,进行小练笔,有助于学生独立表达自己的思想。

3.Share in groups and help each other。

【设计意图】组内分享合作互助能够让学生更大胆的表达,提高自信心。)

4.Read your passage.

【设计意图】通过个人展示帮助学生引导学生养成良好的写作习惯,学习写作方法。)

T: Well, our school is not very big but it is beautiful. We study here every day. We should cherish everything here and love our school forever.

Homework:

1. Listen to the tape and read the text fluently.

Teaching reflection:

优点:

1. 在整堂课的设计上,我认为基本符合五年级普通学生的学习及认知规律。因为单词与句型都已经学过,因此,在课文处理中,我更多是是注重对课文结构,课文内容的分析,而不是简单的强调语法及句型的操练。

2. 通过各种不同的阅读活动,由易到难,有少到多,帮助孩子正确理解文章,并构建文章结构。

3. 大部分学生都能积极参与课堂讨论,并进行有效的课堂输入级输出活动。

不足:

1. 板书设计不够充分,没能起到有效的示范效果。

2. 没能兼顾少部分基础差的学生。
