一、教学设计思路

设计话题和背景,引导学生通过讨论和表达“将来的打算”,掌握词汇和语言结构。

二、教学目标

(一)知识目标

1. 掌握一些有关职业的英文表达方式:computer programmer,

professional, engineer, pilot

2. 掌握如何谈论未来自己与他人理想的职业以及为实现理想所做出的打算和安排

How are you going to do that?

(二)能力目标

能够将理想与为实现理想需要付出的努力联系起来。

(三)情感目标

畅谈理想,为理想而努力。

四.Teaching Procedures

Step 1. Lead-in

What does your father /mother do?

Step 2. Play a game

Boys and girls write the jobs as many as possible on the

blackboard in one minute. Which group writes fastest and most, it’s the winner.

Step3. Review and learn the words about jobs.

Show pictures and words on the screen and review the words about jobs that we have learnt.

Do you know other jobs? Learn some new words.

Let the students go into the Dream Theatre and think themselves about what they are going to be when they grow up? Then students give their opinions.

Look at some pictures and practice the content.

Step 6. Pairwork

The students have a discussion with their partners.

Step 7. Listening 1b

Listen to the tape .

Ask students to draw lines connecting the jobs and the activities. Check the answers.

Step 8. Listening 2a,2b

Listen. What is Cheng Han going to do? Check (√) the correct boxes in the picture.

Listen again. What are Cheng Han’s plans for the future? Fill in the chart.

Check the answers.

Step 9. We have a dream

Beijing is hosting the 2008 Olympic Games. What can you and your classmates do to help make the Olympics a success? Make a list with “Be going to”.Let the students give their ideas.

Step 10. Do some exercises.
