The lesson is in the part A of unit 4 PEP English Book6 .in this class student will learn how to describe their friend hobby and cultivate a good hobby.

Knowledge aims---be able to master fourskilled phrases such as playing the violin,collecting stamps,making kites,diving,riding a bike;could grasp the sentences such as what is your hobby?i like collecting stamps.

Ability aims--- develop students ability of listening,speaking,make them can use the simple sentences to open a dialogue; use the phrases and sentences to ask and answer simply.

? Emotion aims---- encourge student to cultivate a positive hobby; develop students communicateive ability.

According to the aims, I make the teaching key points and diffcult points as follow---The key point is to master the five verbs ing form,the difffcult points are the spell of riding ,making and diving and how to apply them to the real life.

II. Analysis of student
students in grade six are active and curious,they have studied english for at least 3 years,they have a good knowledge of skills in english, they are willing to learn and to show, their image thinking palys on important role in their study,so I will help them explore english knowledge with some tools such as ppt ,word cards,pictures,however,their attention can be scattered easily,therefore I will involve them into game to help them learn to play ,play to learn.

III. Teaching methods
Based on students physical and mental situation,I will task-based language methods together with commuicative teaching method,meanwhile, they will understand the words and sentences through group work and pair work,during the process ppt tape recorder multi-media word card pictue can be needed.

? step 1,warm-up (1),teacher sings a song named “I love go hiking” (2)snowball game :to review the words and phrases such as swimming ,watching TV,playing football,listening to music, all those designs are to lay foundation for the following learning.

Step 2 presentation (1) take out word card---bike,then teacher do the action and say:“I am riding a bike(write on the blackboard),I am tired.”pay attention to the pronunciation of the ride and its ing form.

? Step 2 presentation (2) take out some famous people’s picture-guo jing jing and ask “who is she?”then say :”she is great,she is the olympic champion,she is diving.(write on the blackboard). All thia design can arouse students interest , their intiactive and enthusiasm canbe mobilized too.

Step 2 presentation (3) teacher takes out a picture and

say : “what is this ?”help students say:“ it is violin”(write on the blackboard),then do the action and ask :“what am I doing”, help student answer;“you are palying the violin”(write on blackboard).students read after teacher.

Step 2 presentation (4) take out a stamp ,let student know the stamp,and say : “I like stamps,I like collecting stamps,I have many stamps,do you like stamps?”students say;“I like stamps ,I like collecting stamps (write on black board)too ;read after teacher three times.

Step 2 presentation (5) review the word kite,and teacher say :“on spring I like flying kite,I do not buy it ,I make it,I like making kite (write on blackboard)

Step3 pratice Task1:two students in a group to practice the words,phrases.it takes about 5 minutes.this way can make sure they master the words and phrases,it can also make student have cooperative consciousness. Task2:play games --divide whole class into four group.the people is the champion who can remember the most word in a short time. Task3:make a survery-- ask students make a survery about their classmates hobby in english with 8 minutes.

? Step4:summry and homework Summarize the whole lesson and arrange the home work (1)do the correlative exercises in the activity book, check the mastering of knowledge of this lesson. (2)ask student to interview their friends hobby and make a record of the information. (3)Listen the tape recorder

? Unit4 I have a pen pal What is your hobby? I like collecting stamps riding a bike playing the violin diving making kites

Whatever the teaching of this lesson aims to develop not only the students technical ablities butalso the diverse intelligence by integrated teaching methods.as a teacher to make our classroom shine with vitality,we are laid with heavy burden and we still have a long way to go.
